Management Day, 8th March, 2008. The day we were all looking forward to, and did it come with a lot of icing on the cake! We had been eagerly awaiting the awards, one by one they called out the names.
This time he called out 5 teams first, IT Team did not figure there. Then came the prestigious Chancellor's award. Still not there. By this time i was getting the jitters. But Placements had still not figured anywhere. There must be something still.
Then the top awards of the year. The third prize went to CIT. Second prize went to Placements team. Now I was very very very tense. Where was IT Team???
"And the top most award goes to the team that gave SIBM a website that saved it more than 10 lakh, created a precedent in innovative HRD practices and result oriented approach - the Information Technology Team!"
The rest is history, its a legacy we are leaving behind. There were a lot of records we broke over the year. This was history. Nothing short of it. And to have been part of it, I am honored.
